Front joint cracked, with rear joint starting. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places. Pages are bright, though with some tidemarks and staining to the first and last few pages.     I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
