Full 13 Volume set. Limited Author's Edition #368/1000. First Editions thus Published by Appleton in 1902, each book's Forward is written by Doyle. Excellent tissue page-protected Photogravure frontispiece illustrations in each book. Top page edge gold gilt is still remarkable bright, and the deckled fore edges give the entire set a wonderful vintage look. This beautiful set is in very good collectable condition. Bound in 1/4 leather, originally red and spine faded to a pleasing light brown color. Each book has tight spines, very little wear to the leather. Some staining and spotting but nothing major, overall a nice presenting set. Expected wear points on corners and marble paper edges but in remarkable nice shape for 122 year old volumes.
