Complete two volume hardcover set in 3/4 leather over light blue colored cloth boards with banded spine, gilt spine titles and top edges gilt. Volume One contains sections on: The National Government The State Government The Party System Volume Two includes: The Party System, continued Public Opinion Illustrations and Reflections Social Institutions There's a fold-out map of the United States toward the front of Volume One and several tables in Volume Two. Good condition. Sunne spines, scattered nicks & scuffs on the leather exteriors. Fading of the edges of the blue cloth. Volume One has a gift inscription on the front flyleaf and on a back flyleaf. Volume Two has a gift inscription on a front flyleaf. Otherwise, they're unmarked and securely bound. Ten consecutive leaves in Vol. One (pages 485 to 496) have chipped top corners, not affecting any text. The bookmark in Vol. Two appears to be missing.
