This is a complete set of 5 volumes of the Poetical Works of Lord Byron, Ten Volumes in Five, wherein, each book contains 2 volumes. The binding is exquisite in supple, 3/4 genuine lambskin leather. Printed by Houghton, Mifflin and Company in Boston, in the 1860s. The bindings are all very tight and intact. All sides of the pages are beautifully marbled and very evenly bound. Exquisite end pages, beautifully marbled. The covers are in a poor condition, where all covers are loose. Volume 1 has both covers Volume 2 has front cover only Volume 3 has front cover only Volume 4 has both covers Volume 5 has front cover only. An excellent project for re-binding. Can be bound in quality leather, and based on the quality of stitching, as well as the marbled end pages and the COMPLETE marbling of the page edges, the value, if rebound, will be in the thousands! The books are 7.7 x 5.2 inches in height and width. Thickness is about 2 inches per volume. This set contains the COMPLETE WORKS of George Gordon, Lord Byron.
