Set was printed in 1916 when World War One was known as the Great War, prior to there being a World War Two. These are the original bindings. Genuine leather. These are massive and extremely heavy books. Set has chips to the spines. Hinges are all attached but some are starting and volume 8 is cracked and broken. O wners stamp on pastedown. Set has damage and chipping to the bindings. H inges are cracked, especially volume 8. Still a rare first edition that looks good on the shelf. Set has the fold outs and is heavily illustrated. Each book will be individually wrapped and well protected for shipping.
