Complete in 11 volumes with all of Emerson’s works. Printed in 1884. This is an extremely early set of Emerson. These are the original bindings. Printed on quality paper that is very clean. This set is remarkably well preserved. Emerson is already difficult to obtain, let alone in this condition. The leather is supple. Set looks almost new despite being from 1884 . Quality paper. Set only has light shelf scuffs/abrasions as shown. All hinges are sound. Some spine abrasions. Head of spine along hinge area of volume one has a micro chip as shown in the picture. The condition is remarkable. These earlier sets are more difficult to find. Set is 8 inches tall. Set is complete in 11 volumes. This set was printed before Intellectual History, and is complete in 11 volumes. T here would eventually go on to be a volume 12 by the 1890’s. His set is complete in 11 volumes.
