These are two miniature 19th century Original and Vintage full leather, exquisitely bound books in a leather case. The condition is very fine. The titles are: 'The Book of Common Prayer', Oxford Press, 1862, unpaginated, all edges gilded, 2.5" x 4" 'Hymns Ancient and Modern', London, William Clowes and Sons, all edges gilded, 2.5" x 4" We are assuming both books are the same vintage, and the Common Prayer has the earliest date in the tables of 1862.
