Scott Fitzgerald, Kurt Vonnegut, John Steinbeck, Mark Twain and many others. Franklin Library. Franklin was a premium bindery of leather books renowned for their fine craftsmanship from the 1970's to 2000 . There were numerous styles produced - from full leather bindings to quarter-bound leather - where only the spines were leather - to faux leather-look. These are the real deal - the full leather with a sumptuous shelf presence. These books are in pristine, as published condition. This is an excellent opportunity to build or add to a beautiful library or collection. Each book is bound in a signature color, and exhibits gold foil stamping of the titles and jacket designs. They are printed on archival quality acid-neutral paper and include silk moire endpapers, an expensive hubbed spine, bound-in silk ribbons bookmarks, gilded page edges, Smyth-sewn pages for strength and durability and often contain beautiful illustrations.
