Geffroy, Pierre Corneille, Garnier Freres, Paris, 1875, complete in three volumes, red leather, 7.25 x 4.75”, 12mo. In good condition. Nicely bound in beautiful red, pebbled leather. All gilt edges. Boards exhibit minor wear with light edge abrasions and rubbed corners. Spines darkened with dryness along hinges and extremes. Armorial bookplates of Lea on paste downs. Interiors lightly toned, free of markings. Plates are bright, clean and colorful. Tissue guards intact. Bindings intact. Please see photos. Pierre Corneille was a French tragedian. The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home.
