In Four Volumes New York: Harper & Brothers 1843 Four octavos, 583p; 600p; 612p; 631 pages, bound in period black leather over paper covered boards. Spines with small raised and gilt bands and lettering. Marbled endpapers and edges. The previous owner was Pratt Roberts (1805–1882), whose neat bookplate appears in each volume. Roberts was a resident of East Goshen, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Some rubbing and wear, a few scuffs, some foxing and discoloration, else in very good condition.
