Collated, complete. The Prose Works of Charles Lamb, complete in three volumes (1838). Prior owner's ink inscription to the front free endpaper from 1879 to Volume I. Final Memorials of Charles Lamb; Consisting Chiefly of his Letters Not Before Published, with Sketches of some of his Companions, by Thomas Noon Talfourd, complete in two volumes. A lovely rebound set of the works and correspondence of the English poet and essayist. CONDITION Rebound in Sotheran Sackville signed half morocco bindings and marbled boards. Externally, smart. There is some rubbing to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. The joints are slightly cracked. The hinges are strained but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front free endpaper from 1879 to Volume I of 'Prose Works'. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
