Author: Ann Ward Ratcliffe (1764-1823) Published by John & Benjamin Williams, in Exeter, New Hamphire. Complete in 2 volumes, with a total of 370 pages. Green Moroccan leather covers and spine are all original. Books are complete (except for first 2 blank leaves missing in volume one). No other missing or torn pages. Each volume measures 3" x 5" with no repairs. Spines are tight, and undamaged, with all pages firmly attached. Interior pages are surprisingly clean. Beautiful patina to soft leather covers. No bookplate or library markings. No writing in books, except for previous owners' names faintly written in pencil inside front cover of volume one. . Kudos to the seller for the fabulous description--every necessary detail was listed, so it was easy to make my purchase decision. Fabulous photos. Pomptly shipped--packaging was impressive--double boxed with lots of bubble wrap and newspaper to separate and cushion the individual casters. Wheels turn as easily as the day they were manufactured. By far my best eBay buying experience--EVER. If it was possible to give more stars on "seller communication" and "item description" I would.

The item selected turned out not to be as described, but my communication with seller was very good and offered return. Admittedly, the pics of item and its condition were hard to see. Seller sent return tracking label and refund was quick/guarantee once item delivery of return was confirmed. I still would do business with seller, maybe on different item.

Shipping was very erratic. Reached halfway point and was returned to point of origin where it went back to the sorting process and finally started its progress to the point of destination. No indication as to what the problem was- poor labeling, package damage, wrongly sorted? Item received was as described and in good condition. Fair price.
