This edition of the ‘ Iliad’ was edited and translated by Samuel Clarke, who included both the Latin and Greek texts in top/bottom format. Clarke died in 1729 and was only able to complete the first 12 books of the ‘ Iliad’ before his death. His son completed the set, which was finalized in 1732.
